Cleanup Ram Ganga CampaignBe The Change!
To save Environment we have to plant a tree but firstly plant a tree on our mind
then only you can plant a tree on land.
So like every materialist mind, people in india and world believe that nature has a price, like really?? Totally wrong! Nature has a world that was made by her, this world and all the belongings whom we posses ours is exactly belong to Nature.
Take any example of natural treasure and think what have we done! Trees cover declining, River are dying, pollution is increasing, vegetation are reducing, global warming and climate is a well known term. So why is it so?
Its because we think this nature is our property!
Actually, Nature is not a property that you have inherited from your forefathers but indeed it is borrowed from our future generations. So its our duty to do sustainable development not for us but for our future generation.
These notions had forced me to think and do something for our city so me with my NGO Parivartan “The Change” has taken initiatives that are quite crucial for today’s generation.
In this field we have done work on mainly River Ram Ganga and Ganga Cleanliness. With a 3 month campaign on River #Ramganga we have been doing following activities since 22nd #April 2018 on #every sunday from 7-11 AM. Yes, you can visit the actual ground work and our presence will be there with the help of beautiful wall murals. The very important motive of this campaign was to aware people to take a stand to protect our dying rivers and to keep it clean. I am really glad that in my city some other NGOs & groups are being inspired by our work on rivers and took the same initiative. I hope and wish, that we will penetrate many more people to reach the goal of clean India.
Let’s save our Earth.
Let’s save our Treasure.
Let’s do our bit.
11,000 Signature Campaign
With a notion of making Ganga, RamGanga clean we started this project on 22nd April 2018 on the occasion of EARTH DAY 2018. The motive was not to clean but to aware people that Ram Ganga is our only River of town which is alive so to keep it clean is our foremost duty. So we with our dedicated team mates and volunteers started cleaning the bank of river from 29th April 2018 and did some meaningful wall mural so that people at least understood the basic thing of cleanliness.
As campaign is moving onto its 2nd stage so today we made people aware about the issues related to Ram Ganga who are living beside the river bank in a danger zone as they have already faced flood in 2010. So today more than 300 people signed their support for our campaign & pledge to clean our river clean. Our target is to collect 11000 signatures before the last week of this campaign.
The team faced both positive and negative reactions from public when we step into their houses taking the issue with Ram Ganga. We will surely try to take your voice to the administration and Government for the issue of river. The demand of sewage treatment plan to stop the waste and sewage disposal in the river & a river front to make it a amusement park will be put on front of the administration.
